Progress on Holden Lea

I’ve just returned from a very productive meeting with Bolton at Home, Bolton Council and the Police (although the police couldn’t attend due to other matters coming up) regarding the issues at Holden Lea and Bamber Croft.

You may recall that I held a similar meeting in November, following a very successful “street surgery” during which my colleagues and I spoke to as many residents of both streets as we could.

Street Surgeries form part of my ongoing work all across Westhoughton North and Chew Moor and are part of my personal view that local politicians should come to you to discuss your problems rather than only relying on you coming to us.

We have made a lot of progress since the last meeting late last year and while there is still a lot of work to do, I’m pleased with what’s gone on so far and look forward to being able to solve more of the issues – including the parking problems – in the future.
