The Nasty Party’s Nasty Campaigners

It’s no secret that I despise the aggressive, ignorant attacks the Left keep perpetrating on those who don’t share their views. It started a long time ago, with claims that the Conservatives were “evil”, that we were harming children, the elderly and the vulnerable – we weren’t. None of the claims they’ve made are true; because of course they aren’t. Nobody goes into politics to be vile to people (unless they are seriously unhinged and in those cases, they mostly get filtered out by the candidates teams for the majority of the main parties). So the politicians are, for the most part, reasonably decent people who want the best for the constituencies they stand in; they just differ on the ways to achieve that goal.

Activists are a whole other problem, however. There’s no filtering mechanism for activists and even if there was, you wouldn’t be able to stop the freelancers, the officially unaffiliated but definitely aligned, and the likeminded chancers who are just looking to cause trouble. Regardless of what a party says officially, those people are still going to be around. They are the really nasty ones; the vile troublemakers who go out of their way to attack those who disagree with them.

Not content with sending death threats and abuse to Conservative politicians and activists, these scummy oiks are now coordinating a campaign of trespass, criminal damage and harassment with the clear purpose of intimidating people and influencing their votes in Thursday’s election. That they think this is somehow acceptable behaviour quite frankly shocks me. There is no right-minded person who would say this to anyone, especially after the terrorist incidents of the last few weeks:

Nobody should say things like this. Nobody should have to receive vile messages like this. This is inhuman.

Then there’s the widespread, clearly coordinated (eyewitness reports say thugs are arriving in cars while wearing face coverings, tearing down signs and rushing back to their vehicles, crying “I got it!” to their waiting accomplices) theft, defacing or outright criminal destruction of Conservative Party signs. Like this:

And this:

And this:

And this:

This one, too:

And, finally, this:

It’s not a new thing, by the way. They’ve been doing it for a while.

Like I said, this mindset has been growing for a long time and it seems the people who harbour it are in no hurry to grow up.

Then there’s the person who thought it was a good idea to tell the world that their brother stole someone else’s property:

Apparently these people really do think this is not only acceptable behaviour but also something worth cheering on.

They’re not alone, either.

How self-involved do you have to be to reach that level? I really can’t understand this mindset.

Oh, and don’t forget literally using images of dead children in their vile attacks on others.

Yeah, someone actually did that.

The Nasty Party has an army of these vile trolls supporting it and they clearly like nothing more than harassing people, defacing their property and trying to intimidate anyone who doesn’t agree with their twisted, sick world view. Now I’m not saying Labour are actively supporting this but they sure as hell aren’t stopping it.

Don’t let them win on Thursday. Don’t reward their hideous campaign strategy. Show them decency can win through.
