My writing work has not been limited to non-fiction articles, stories and the like. I have also turned my hand to a series of role-playing games and associated materials. Those I still have the files for (many have been lost over the years, before I started backing things up to the Cloud) are collected here. If you’re interested, please feel free to make use of them.
When I was still at Durham University, I was a member (later, President) of their Treasure Trap live action role-playing society. I wrote a couple of adventures for the society, as most members will at some point. I also went a bit further than most society members and started work on a completely new set of rules for the game. These were never entirely finished but what was produced of them works fairly well. You can download them here if you’d like.
- Into the orc camp! (adventure)
- A Fairytale of Gedrent (adventure)
- Treasure Trap: Fourth Incarnation (live role-playing rules set)
After leaving university and starting work, I had a lot less time to game with friends so we could not afford to waste valuable time fiddling with rules sets. I therefore set about creating a set of rules for a superhero role-playing game that could be picked up in minutes. You can download the result here, if you fancy giving it a go. They’re not brilliant, but they do work.
- Battle of the Super Losers! (tabletop role-playing rules set)
