Labour Haven’t Spent Any of the £2 Million They Allocated To Westhoughton Town Hall

When I asked the Labour Leader of the Council how much of the £2million fund for Westhoughton Town Hall had been spent, I was expecting a response along the lines of “we’ve spent X amount on consultations with roofing experts and we will spend Y amount on fixing the roof on Z date”.

Imagine my shock therefore when, after two years, the Labour Council has apparently not spent any of the allocated funds. Didn’t the Town Hall need its roof repaired after all? That’s what the scaffolding and the survey were for, wasn’t it?

Good grief.
